Matthew Hranek is a storyteller and recently he had the chance to share a few of his adventures. For Kindling Quarterly Matthew talks about duck hunting and cooking with his daughter Clara. The magazine about contemporary fatherhood first approached Matthew to write an article after coming across his personal blog, The William Brown Project. Kindling gave Matthew total editorial freedom and he chose an experience close to his heart. All words, photographs and recipes are by Matthew and depict a father and daughter bonding over the simple joys of cooking and food.
Matthew also photographed a food and travel piece for the June issue of Martha Stewart Living. In “Trip to Bountiful,” Matthew takes the scenic California 1 route from Los Angeles to Marin County. Along the way, he stops at small mom and pop shops and takes in the scenic coastal views.
